From busy-brained to clear-hearted.

Creative Arts Therapy and co-making for deep-feeling, deep-thinking humans craving a little calm, online & on the Mid-North Coast.

big feelings + clever brain = inner mayhem.

time to get creative.

big feelings + clever brain = inner mayhem. time to get creative.

You think a lot.

You feel even more.

And in a world that rewards logic, speed, and keeping it together, you’ve become really good at performing okay - even when your insides are screaming.

This is your nudge.

Give all the words a break - and let your hands do the listening.

Your brain’s loud.

Your body’s tired.

Words aren’t working…
but art might.

Not because it’s magic,
but because it lets you be human again.

Creative Arts Therapy makes the mess visible
so you can be with it differently.

We use paper, colour, texture, and movement
to meet the stuff you can’t always name -
like tension, longing, or those weird sound effects that creep out when you finally exhale.

No pressure to explain.
No need to “get it.”
Just a weirdly gentle way back to think and feel at the same time.

Less performing.
More permission.

Less spiralling.
More space.

Less fixing.
More feeling.

Why Creative Arts Therapy?

  • A different approach.

You have a different kind of mind.

If your brain’s been trying to think its way out of your feelings… it makes perfect sense. You’re wired for insight. You’ve probably even been praised for your self-awareness.

But sometimes, your clever brain needs backup. Something non-verbal. Something hands-on.

    That’s where art-making comes in.

It gives you a new way to be with what’s going on inside - a fresh perspective. A language that doesn’t compete with your thoughts, but complements them. One your body already knows how to speak.

  • It's seriously playful.

Yes, we go deep - but we do it with colour, curiosity, movement,
and sometimes a very smudgy oil pastel.

Play helps your nervous system exhale.
It helps you meet the hard stuff in softer ways.

  • No art-skills needed.

You don’t need to be “creative.”
We’re not setting out to make incredible art - we’ll just use simple materials - paper, sound, movement - to help what’s inside find a way out.

You might rip up paper and tape it back together.
Smudge charcoal into a blob that weirdly feels like grief.
Whack clay like it’s done you wrong.

    Scribble first, make sense later.
What you make is yours. I’m just here to help you meet it.

  • Brokenness is welcome.

    It's not just welcome - it's vital.
Our brokenness invites us to stop. To sit. To pay attention.

We’re not here to change it.
We’re just letting ourselves look -
without fixing, judging, or rushing it away.

    This isn’t about getting better.
It’s about cultivating the gentle courage to be with what is.

  • It's okay not to know.

This is the perfect place to practice not knowing.

    To sit in the in-between.

Make some mess and see what shows up.

Meet your Creative arts therapist

Hi, I’m Hayley

I’m a creative arts therapist, and a human who’s spent a lot of life being “too sensitive” and trying to make sense of it all. I don’t often feel like I belong in most spaces, so I care deeply about creating one where you can.

If that’s kinda how you feel too, you’re in good company.

I work with deep-feeling, clever-brained humans who’ve been holding it together for too long.

You’re probably as insightful as ever when it comes to other people but have no idea how to solve your own pickles.
(Ask me how I know…)

You crave calm, but keep bracing for unknown impact.
Or you constantly feel a bit “wrong” or different, and you aren’t always sure how to be with that.

In our sessions, we use art as a way in - not to perform or analyse, but to explore. We won’t interpret what you make.
We’ll just get what’s going on inside out where you can actually see it.

We’ll pull the sweet soupy-mess out of your head, let it breathe, and see what happens when you look at it sideways.

I don’t decode or interpret your art. There’s no “correct” meaning to uncover. Only your meaning, in your time.

My role is to keep you safe, offer a few curious prompts, and gently help you notice what’s asking for your attention, if and when you’re ready.

You don’t need to know where to begin.
You just need to be open to something a little different.

A simple willingness to play, experiment and be curious can lead to something very real.

Got big feelings?

You’re not alone…

  • NATALIA

“Hayley holds a beautifully supportive and gentle space for self-exploration. She is present with you every step of the way and provides attuned and thoughtful insights that help you see things from different perspectives. I have felt the therapeutic effects of our session go beyond the time we had together, with a new awareness in my everyday life.”

  • CAITLIN

“Hanging out with Hayley for the afternoon felt like a sip of lemon myrtle tea – so fresh, invigorating, and damn delightful. I felt right at home in my first art therapy session with Hayley, gently guided into my own colourful, arty process. I discovered my wildest dreams are very tangible and found new ways to bring more magic into my day-to-day life. What a treat!”

  • KRIS

“I initially had some concerns about my lack of artistic skills before starting art therapy. However, I was looking for a new way to explore my feelings outside the typical therapy context. I found Hayley’s art therapy to be a really wholesome and fulfilling way of approaching some of the problems I'm going through, especially the guidance around the art aspect. It helped me link my thoughts and feelings to physical reactions, creating a more comprehensive approach to healing. I love Hayley’s combination of kindness and silliness to help create a really beautiful atmosphere that makes it easy to be vulnerable. This experience was more interactive and personal than regular therapy, leaving me with tangible reminders of our work and a sense that we were really collaborating on my well-being.”

  • TRAVIS

“Throughout the session, I didn't feel you were in front pulling me along, nor in back pushing me forward. I felt you were standing beside, and we were taking a walk together at a pace I felt comfortable with. Rather than psychoanalyzing my drawings and everything I was saying, to me it felt like you were pointing out notable words and phrases, and allowed me to interpret it for myself.”

  • JODIE

“Therapy with Hayley was just lovely. I felt safe, contained, cared for and delighted in. So beautiful!”

  • SARA

“Working with Hayley is an absolute delight! The presence and space she holds is infused with unconditional love and acceptance, and this in and of itself feels so healing. Her grounded energy and the insights she offers are POTENT. The practices and exercises she guides are powerful, and address the deepest roots of whatever is being addressed. I would HIGHLY recommend working with Hayley!”

  • JEN

“Hayley is an exceptional therapist. She has a beautiful, calming and safe presence. Hayley has been able to pinpoint some deep-seated patterns in me and help me begin to release them and believe in my worth so that I can move forward towards my dreams. I had so many a-ha moments in my time with Hayley; realisations I never would have had without her great questions and guidance.”
